Rep. Cafero on the Tough Questions: “Declined”

(Hartford, Connecticut) — The Connecticut Democratic Party released a statement today from Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo in response to a series of no shows and “declined” responses from House Minority Leader Lawrence Cafero on gun violence prevention.

“After backing out of the March for Change on February 14 at the last second, and now declining to answer straight-forward questions on gun control measures from the Greenwich Time [LINK], we are left wondering when this ‘leader’ plans to get engaged and lead.” said DiNardo.

“Rep. Cafero can’t seem to find the time to answer even the most basic questions on gun violence prevention. Leadership is about making tough choices, and so far Cafero has declined to make any. The residents of his district deserve better.”
