Foley, Cafero, McKinney: Birds Of A Feather

(Hartford, Connecticut) – Today, the Connecticut Democratic Party released the following statement from Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo:

“What do Tom Foley, Larry Cafero, and John McKinney have in common? Two things: they’d all like to be Governor, and they’re more interested in criticizing Gov. Malloy than they are in making the tough decisions a governor needs to make. 59 days have passed since Gov. Malloy proposed the toughest gun control laws in the nation. 17 days have passed since he signed the bill. Still, Tom Foley won’t say whether he’d have signed that bill. Clearly more interested in pandering to the NRA, Tom Foley refuses to stand up and be counted on one of the most important issues of our time.

74 days have passed since Gov. Malloy proposed a tough, balanced budget. Still, Larry Cafero and John McKinney refuse to offer an alternative solution. All they do is lob criticisms from the sidelines, sometimes via whiny press releases, other times sounding shrill at press conferences. But still no new ideas.

You want to be governor? Take a stand. Make a tough decision. Risk angering people who disagree with you. Put solutions on the table.”
