(Hartford, Connecticut) — At a time when the private sector in Connecticut is finally growing jobs thanks in part to Governor Malloy’s economic policies — 41,200 in the last 2 1/2 years — the GOP is on the verge of tanking the economy and dragging the middle class, senior citizens, veterans and school children down with it in Connecticut.  All this just in order to shamefully pursue their personal and political agendas.

In analyzing the effects of the government shutdown, experts are saying things like “It would mean less hiring, less job creation, less economic growth,” “this recovery is very much in jeopardy,” and “These protracted debates and squabbles over the budget and debt limits and fiscal cliffs and the like has raised the level of political uncertainty, and that has had real economic consequences.”
