Hartford, CT – Last night, the anti-gay, anti-women and Tea Partier Mike McLachlan introduced Mark Boughton at his first official gubernatorial campaign event in Danbury.  By choosing his former chief of staff to introduce him at his first campaign rally, Boughton broadcast loud and clear that McLachlan is still his closest advisor and a big part of his official campaign for governor.

Does Mark Boughton agree with Senator MacLachlan’s extremist agenda?   Does Mark Boughton support Senator McLachlan’s attempts to legislate women’s reproductive health and force ultrasounds on pregnant women?  Does Mark Boughton agree with Senator McLachlan’s anti-gay stance?  Does Mark Boughton agree with Senator McLachlan’s Birther bill?

“It’s reprehensible that Mark Boughton’s closest advisor, the anti-gay, anti-women and Tea Partier Mike McLachlan, is now a part of Mark Boughton’s official campaign for governor,” said Nancy DiNardo, Connecticut Democratic Party Chairwoman.  “Mark Boughton needs to let Connecticut women and members of the LGBT community know why he is embracing such a dangerous extremist and if he agrees with Senator McLachlan’s agenda.  Does Mark Boughton want to force ultrasounds on pregnant women? Does he support McLachlan’s anti-gay views and Tea Party agenda?”
