They say they want public debate, but they are the only ones with a secret plan.

ICYMI – They say they want public debate, but they are the only ones with a secret plan.

On Wednesday, Republicans held a press conference at which they demanded more public debate for legislative Democrats’ budget.

Klarides: “If we become arrogant enough to believe that we’re making every decision on our own, and we can’t even put up the facade of saying, ‘hey, we’re interested in what you have to say by having a hearing.’ Well we had better just pack up and go home.”

Fasano: “I think you’re being too dismissive and disrespectful of the public. Rep. Klarides and I have sent a letter to the leaders asking them to hold a public hearing.”

Now, the Connecticut Mirror reports that GOP leaders claim to have ideas, but are keeping them secret.

… see the irony there? As usual, Republicans are contradicting themselves at every turn.
