CT Dems Conclude Week Of Action With Donations

Hartford, Ct. – The Connecticut Democratic Party today concluded their pre-holiday Week of Action by dropping off toiletry kits at South Park Inn, a shelter in Hartford. This comes one day after Chairman Nick Balletto visited with refugees and dropped off a load of blankets, crafted by Democratic volunteers, at Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services in New Haven.

“This holiday season, Democrats are proud to be of assistance to our most vulnerable neighbors,” said Balletto. “The refugees I met with at IRIS have escaped unimaginable horrors, whether in Syria or Sudan. Yet they persevere, and I am proud to live in a state that has accepted them with open arms. I hope that these gifts – both to the homeless at South Park Inn and refugee families at IRIS – help to make someone’s holidays a little bit brighter.”

During the Week of Action, dozens of volunteers, in addition to CDP staff, helped to make blankets and assemble toiletry kits.
