2017 Spring Fellows
Frustrated with November’s election results? You don’t have to wait until 2020 to get involved! The Connecticut Democratic Party is offering fellowships in several key roles at our Hartford headquarters. Democrats will be on the ballot in all 169 Connecticut towns in 2017; as a Spring Fellow, you’ll gain firsthand campaign experience, acquire new organizational and communication skills, learn about careers in politics, master tools like VoteBuilder and NGP (the major databases used by Democrats nationwide), build your network, and, most importantly, help protect the progress we’ve made by pushing our Democratic message at every opportunity, online and in person, using social and traditional media, and reaching out directly to voters. Spring Fellows will organize events and fundraisers, help with general administrative responsibilities, and play a key role in our efforts to support statewide and federal candidates, as well as elections across the state in May. Fellows will focus on one of the core areas:
- Communications & Research
- Field & Outreach
- Law & Compliance
No experience is necessary. Fellowships are unpaid. Start- and end-dates can be tailored to your school calendar, but fellows are expected to commit 10-20 hours per week from January through the beginning of May. January/winter term and full-time opportunities are also available. Please apply by December 20, 2016 for early January start-dates and by January 9, 2017 to begin in late January.
