2017 Spring Fellows
Frustrated with last year’s election results? You don’t have to wait until 2020 to get involved! The Connecticut Democratic Party is offering fellowships in several key roles at our Hartford headquarters. Democrats will be on the ballot in all 169 Connecticut towns in 2017; as a Summer Fellow, you’ll gain firsthand campaign experience, acquire new organizational and communication skills, learn about careers in politics, master tools like VoteBuilder and NGP (the major databases used by Democrats nationwide), build your network, and, most importantly, help protect the progress we’ve made by pushing our Democratic message at every opportunity, online and in person, using social and traditional media, and reaching out directly to voters. Summer Fellows will organize events and fundraisers, help with general administrative responsibilities, and play a key role in our efforts to support statewide and federal candidates. Fellows will focus on one of the core areas:
- Communications & Research
- Field & Outreach
- Law & Compliance
No experience is necessary. Fellowships are unpaid. Start- and end-dates can be tailored to your schedule, but fellows are expected to commit 10-20 hours per week from June through early August. January/winter term and full-time opportunities are also available. To apply, please email your resume to email@example.com. Please apply by May 31, 2017.
