2019 Summer Interns
Don’t wait until 2020 to get involved! The Connecticut Democratic Party is offering internships in several key roles at our Hartford headquarters. In 2019, we have municipal elections across the state that will determine control of city councils and town halls in every corner of Connecticut. As a Summer Intern, you’ll gain firsthand campaign experience, acquire new organizational and communication skills, learn about careers in politics, master tools like VoteBuilder and NGP (the major databases used by Democrats nationwide), build your network, and, most importantly, help protect the progress we’ve made by pushing our Democratic message at every opportunity, online and in person, using social and traditional media, and reaching out directly to voters. Summer Interns will organize events and fundraisers, help with general administrative responsibilities, and play a key role in our efforts to support statewide and federal candidates. Interns will focus on one of the core areas:
- Communications & Research
- Field & Outreach
- Law & Compliance
No experience is necessary. Internships are unpaid. Start- and end-dates can be tailored to your schedule, but interns are expected to commit 10-20 hours per week from May to August. Full-time opportunities are also available. To apply, please email your resume to email@example.com.
You can also apply for a fall internship at any time if you are trying to get ahead in your planning.
