Hartford, Conn. – Yesterday, Tea Party Tom Foley defended the reckless tactics employed by John Boehner and the Tea Party caucus in the U.S. House to force the federal government shutdown. “Foley defended the negotiating tactics of House Republicans. ‘So I support what they’re doing,’ Foley said,” reported Hearst Connecticut Media yesterday.  Economist Steven Lanza warned yesterday that, “Connecticut will have 300 fewer jobs than it otherwise would if the federal government shuts down for a few days, economist Steven Lanza said Monday. A three- to four-week closure would cost 2,000 jobs.”

The Connecticut Democratic Party would like to know what is more important to Tea Party Tom Foley, preventing 300 Connecticut residents from losing their jobs or his Tea Party allegiance?
