Governor Malloy Lays Out Plan to End CT Veteran Homelessness
Joined by Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, veterans, and government officials, Governor Malloy laid out his plan to end homelessness and unemployment for Connecticut veterans by 2015. Among these initiatives are creating a Veterans’ Employment Opportunity Pilot to assist veterans reenter the workforce, guaranteeing security deposits to help veterans get back on their feet in a new home, and establishing a 74-unit affordable housing development for at-risk veterans and their families.
