Governor Malloy – Let’s Increase Connecticut’s Minimum Wage to $10.10 by 2017
During his State of the State address, Governor Dan Malloy reaffirmed his commitment to raising Connecticut’s minimum wage to $10.10 by 2017. Echoing President Obama in that it would have a positive impact it would have on working families, Governor Malloy stated that raising the minimum wage “is good public policy, it’s good economic policy, and it’s the right thing to do.” By increasing next January’s scheduled increase by 45 cents, then adding 45 cents in 2016, and 50 cents in 2017, we can help make working families’ lives just a little bit easier.
