Hartford, CT – The Connecticut Democratic Party will select its Congressional candidates, who will run on the Party’s line in November, this evening. Every two years, Democratic leaders in each of the state’s five congressional districts host an individual convention, all of which are being held tonight, to nominate a Democratic candidate for Congress.

“Be it in Hartford or in Washington, Connecticut Democrats day in and day out are fighting for working families, striving to shatter the glass ceiling for women, and making extraordinary investments in education. States across the nation are taking notice of what’s happening in Connecticut – and that’s because our leaders are making historic progress,” said Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo.
