Hartford, CT – Connecticut Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo issued the following statement in observance of Memorial Day:

“We honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their dedication to our nation, our flag, and our way of life will never be forgotten. Each and every one of our veterans is a true hero for standing up for democratic values at home and abroad – and so are their families.

“We owe it to all of our veterans and their families to uphold our end of the bargain and provide them with the services they deserve. That’s why Connecticut Democrats are working hard to deliver at home, through new intensive job readiness programs, through homelessness prevention, and through reforms like the Veterans Opportunity Fund. We need to do more – and we need to deliver – because veterans and their families deserve no less.”
