“What state does Mr. Foley think he’s running in? The Family Institute’s agenda is so extreme that this endorsement will no doubt raise eyebrows across the spectrum. Those who want this state to go forward can only wonder how many decades backwards Tom Foley and the FIC would take Connecticut.

“Who is this guy? You would think he would want nothing to do with extremists who don’t want women to have access to contraception, oppose equal pay for women, and have a view of Connecticut’s LGBT community that hasn’t changed since the middle ages. They even opposed Governor Rell when she provided funding for stem cell research.

“This is another example of Tom Foley’s backwards plans — and he should repudiate this endorsement. If he doesn’t, voters across the spectrum are going to have to wonder what he had to promise to get it.”
