Hartford, CT — Connecticut Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo released the following statement in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day:

“I stand with my great state of Connecticut and this nation today in commemorating Dr. King’s work and his legacy, and the issues and ideals he championed and to which he dedicated his life – including the right to vote,” stated DiNardo.

“We have made great strides across the country in making Dr. King’s dream of equality and racial justice a reality, but we recognize there is more work to be done. As a nation, we have a responsibility to honor and live up to his dream not only today, but every day – and our country will be greater and stronger by doing so.”
