CT Dems statement on the passing of former Sen. Eileen Daily

Hartford, Ct. – Connecticut Democratic Party Chair Nick Balletto and Vice Chair Nancy DiNardo released the following statements:

“Eileen Daily was a dedicated and passionate public servant – first in local office, then in the State Senate,” said Chairman Balletto. “She always stood by her principles and fought for her constituents, but she did it with grace and was widely respected on both sides of the aisle. Eileen embodied the best of the Democratic Party, and I send my condolences to her family and friends.”

“I knew Eileen for many years,” said Vice Chairwoman DiNardo. “Throughout her career in public service, she fought tenaciously for her community. And with that same vigor, she fought cancer heroically. But most importantly to me, she was always a good friend, and I will miss her.”
