Hartford, Ct. – Connecticut Democratic Party spokesman Leigh Appleby released the following statement in response to Donald Trump’s incitement of violence this afternoon.

“Another day, another dangerous comment from Donald Trump. Throughout this campaign, Trump’s hateful rhetoric; his insults toward Gold Star families, Immigrants, Muslims, and just about everyone else; and now his incitement of violence has been simply indefensible. Yet Connecticut Republicans continue to defend their nominee, even while while attempting to distance themselves from some of his statements.
