Governor Lamont and Democrats Deliver for Connecticut
Nancy DiNardo, Chair of the Connecticut Democrats, today praised Governor Lamont and Connecticut’s state and federal lawmakers for utilizing federal coronavirus relief funding to expand the earned income tax credit and provide additional assistance to low- and middle- income workers struggling through the coronavirus pandemic.
“The coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on all of Connecticut, but has been particularly devastating to the lives and livelihoods of low- to moderate-income workers, many of whom have not had the benefit of working from home and cannot afford to miss a paycheck,” DiNardo said.
“Supporting those who need it most was the goal of the CARES Act and now, because of our strong Democratic leadership, Connecticut can ensure that happens. Governor Lamont, our Congressional delegation, and the Democratic leadership of the General Assembly continue to deliver for the people of Connecticut,” DiNardo added.
