Thirty-five other states already allow all voters to use a mail-in ballot, if they choose. Connecticut’s restrictive election laws mean we don’t enjoy the same voting options that most Americans enjoy. If a voter wants to vote by using an absentee ballot, we believe they should be permitted to. It’s about freedom of choice.
