Welcomes the most extreme Speaker of the House in history to Connecticut this Saturday

(West Hartford, CT) – George Logan, Republican candidate for the 5^th Congressional District, will welcome ultra-conservative Speaker of the House Mike Johnson to Connecticut for a fundraising gala on Saturday, further cementing his lurch into extreme MAGA politics.

Logan, who has never conceded that Joe Biden won the 2020 election and has also hosted Kentucky Congressman James Comer whose groundless impeachment of the President has collapsed after the arrest of their “key” witness, will now accept fundraising and political support from the Speaker, an anti-abortion, election denying, full-out Trump supporter. 

“George Logan is no moderate. He has danced around questions about his stance on important issues like abortion. Tomorrow, George Logan will show the voters of Connecticut just how far he is willing to move to the right to get elected,” DiNardo said.

DiNardo continued, “There are so many questions George Logan needs to answer. Would he protect IVF? How about birth control? Will he accept the outcome of the 2024 election? How could he represent the will of the voters in this pro-choice state if he refuses to restore Roe v. Wade as the law on the land?”  

DiNardo pointed out that the noontime fundraiser won’t even be held in the district he’s campaigning to represent. “I wonder if George knows Hartford isn’t in the Fifth?” DiNardo asked.

“The 2024 election will be one of the most consequential of our lifetimes. Make no mistake; democracy is on the ballot,” DiNardo said. “When candidates like George Logan show us who they are, we have to believe them. He is too extreme for Connecticut.”
