“Donald Trump has called for the execution of members of Congress, who are also veterans, for reminding members of the military that they can and must disregard unlawful orders and instead follow the law and the constitution. 

“That the six members of Congress felt it necessary to issue the statement in response to the Trump Administration’s highly questionable military actions is remarkable enough. That the President would respond as he has is unacceptable. It isn’t normal, and we can’t allow it to be normal. 

“Every single Republican, especially those seeking office, needs to pick a side and make it clear to the voters of Connecticut. Do you support the Trump’s incitement of violence? Or do you condemn it? “
