(Hartford, Connecticut) — Today, the Connecticut Democratic Party released the following statement from Executive Director Jonathan Harris.
“Sen. McKinney says he’s ‘uniquely qualified’ to be Connecticut’s next governor. But Sen. McKinney’s voting record suggests otherwise:
“He voted to enact the Small Business Express program — a program that has helped nearly 800 businesses create or save over 10,000 Connecticut jobs — but then voted against funding the program. Why?
“How could he propose a $14 million cut to UConn’s budget when the cost of higher education is skyrocketing?
“Why did he vote to cut the Connecticut vaccine program by half, putting Connecticut’s children at risk? Once again his reckless spending cuts hurt middle class families.”
