(Hartford, Connecticut) — Today, Connecticut Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo released the following statement on  the latest private sector job numbers.

“Governor Malloy continues to move our state forward, and today’s announcement that Connecticut added 2,300 new private sector jobs last month is a clear indication that we are on the right path.  When Governor Malloy took office, Connecticut was losing private sector jobs left and right, but under his leadership Connecticut has added over 40,000 new private sector jobs.  In fact, the first two and a half years of the Malloy Administration represent the best two and a half year period of private sector job growth since the late 1990s.  The Governor always says that there is more work to be done, but his leadership is moving us forward to where we need to be.”
