DiNardo to Foley: Did you Compensate John Rowland for Campaign Help?
Hartford, CT – The day after convicted felon John Rowland was indicted on seven counts related to illegal activity in two congressional campaigns, Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo again called on Tom Foley to answer some serious questions regarding his relationship with Rowland.
“Tom Foley admitted that John Rowland helped his 2010 gubernatorial campaign and Rowland admitted he provided advice to Foley, so the voters need to know the extent of their arrangement,” said Nancy DiNardo, Connecticut Democratic Party Chairwoman. “What does ‘informally helping’ mean? Was Mr. Rowland compensated in any way, shape, or form for the advice he gave to Mr. Foley? Tom Foley needs to speak up and let Connecticut know if he compensated John Rowland for campaign help.”
