DO CT REPUBLICAN CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATES AGREE WITH THIS MOTION?
Hartford, CT — Today the U.S. House Republicans voted to file suit against President Obama—for doing his job. Instead of tackling real issues—comprehensive immigration reform, the Highway Trust Fund, the federal minimum wage, or commonsense gun laws nationally—they would prefer to recklessly go to court to stymie progress.
While Republicans in Washington are working to turn back the clock, do GOP Congressional candidates in Connecticut agree with spending millions of taxpayer dollars to sue the President for doing his job?
“This is a political stunt of the worst kind and a waste of taxpayer dollars—and Democrats have been clear on where they stand,” said Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo. “Would the Republican candidates for Congress have voted for the same measure? Do they believe in this stunt to sue the President? It’s a simple yes or no answer, and voters deserve to know their position.”
