CT Dems’ reaction to House GOP leader Themis Klarides’s comments that she is “scared to death” following today’s Office of Fiscal Analysis report:

“Rather than offering a single tangible solution to fix our budget problems, Representative Klarides is trying to play the politics of fear. Governor Malloy made hard choices when he put forward his budget. She was nowhere to be found. Democrats made the hard but necessary spending cuts to bring our fiscal house into order. Representative Klarides offered no solutions – but continued to complain that Democrats were cutting too much. Time after time, she has sought media attention to root for failure, but offered no answers.

“Maybe Representative Klarides should roll up her sleeves and enact Governor Malloy’s budget which addresses the realities of Connecticut’s economy.” – Connecticut Democratic Party Executive Director Michael Mandell
