“Themis Klarides’s embrace of Donald Trump shows just how extreme Connecticut’s GOP legislators have become. Trump has insulted people from all walks of life as he has attempted to divide our country for his own political gain. Representative Klarides’s remarks today are a page out of Trump’s playbook, and Republicans running for the legislature will now have to answer for Donald Trump’s policies and statements. Let me be very clear: the people of Connecticut deserve much, much better than Donald Trump and Themis Klarides.”
