Republicans Are Still Silent on Protecting Health Care
Hartford, CT – As Senator Murphy and other Democrats up and down the ballot are fighting for our health care, the Republicans hoping to lead our state have been silent.
The Trump administration recently put the health care of millions of people with pre-existing conditions at risk. Over one million Connecticut residents have pre-existing conditions.
Governors have fought back against attempts to roll back health care coverage for millions of Americans and Connecticut joined in a lawsuit to protect coverage for those with pre-existing conditions. What have Republican candidates for Governor said they would do to protect pre-existing conditions in Connecticut?

“The Trump administration wants to strip health care from over one million Connecticut residents and Republicans are silent,” said Democratic Party spokesperson Christina Polizzi. “Once again, Republicans are selling out Connecticut residents so they can get a mention from @realDonaldTrump. Anyone running to be our next Governor owes Connecticut voters an answer on what they will do to protect health coverage for people with pre-existing conditions. Voters have a clear choice in this election: a Democrat who will fight to protect our health care or a Republican who with cater to Donald Trump’s agenda.”
