Who’s Paying Bob Stefanowski? Where’s that Transparency, Bob? Voters Deserve To Know.

Hartford, CT –  Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Stefanowski’s tax return summary pages show he made $36.8 million over the past three years, but don’t  disclose the identity of the business consulting clients who paid him an average of $12 million every year. Between 2019 to 2020, his income tripled from $5.49 million to more than $15 million in 2020. The last two years, he was making triple even then what he made in 2016 and 2017.

Bob claimed on April 5 that his tax returns would reveal the client list.

Without releasing his client list, Bob Stefanowski has, once again, failed to keep his promise of transparency regarding the sources of his income.

In 2018, just 10 days before the election, Bob released a summary of taxes paid on the millions he earned while he was CEO of a predatory payday loan company that took advantage of low-income individuals and families with up to 450% interest rates. Voters deserve to know how Bob Stefanowski is earning his millions and how his income tripled.

Bob’s website claims “promoting tax transparency” is a priority under his accountability page. Where is his transparency?

“Bob Stefanowski’s lack of transparency and failure to follow through on promises proves once again he has no place in state government. What is he hiding?” asked State Sen. Matt Lesser. “Bob Stefanowski must be held accountable and release his client lists today.”
