Donald Trump and Bob Stefanowski Both Support Extremist, Anti-Choice Republican Leora Levy
Election results denier, NRA leader and COVID-19 misinformation spreader, former president Donald Trump endorsed Leora Levy’s candidacy for Senate tonight via phone call
(Hartford, CT) – Disgraced former President Donald Trump tonight phoned-in an endorsement to support Leora Levy’s primary challenge bid to become the Republican nominee for United States Senate.
Trump declared his support in a call to Levy that the Greenwich Republican shared at a gathering of the Montville Republican Town Committee, in front of primary rivals Peter Lumaj and Themis Klarides.
Trump ally Bob Stefanowski, who gave Trump’s presidency an “A” rating, has also supported Levy, giving the maximum amount in two donations of $2,900 to her proudly anti-choice campaign.
Levy is anti-choice, has questioned the legitimacy of the congressional investigation into the deadly insurrection on January 6, and is pushing an agenda that Connecticut voters do not support.
“Bob Stefanowski tries to distance himself from extremists and an anti-choice agenda. Tonight, his friend Trump joined him in endorsing the same candidate for Senate who enjoys his financial support,” Nancy DiNardo, Connecticut Democrats Chair, said. “Their agenda is clear and it is too extreme for Connecticut.”
