Roy Moore has no place in elected office and would bring shame to those he represents. While Connecticut Democrats have lent support to Doug Jones, our Republican friends have remained silent -- even while many GOP elected officials in other states have spoken out against Moore. The question for J.R. Romano is simple. Will he continue to raise money for the Republican National Committee even as it supports alleged sexual harassers like Roy Moore and Donald Trump?

In particular, his work over the past year to fight against many of the disastrous policies coming out of the Trump administration -- from environmental protection, to health care issues, to standing up for our immigrant communities -- has shown strong Democratic leadership on a state level can and does make a real difference across the country. 

While Democrats across Connecticut -- including those running for governor or exploring a run for statewide office -- have raised their voices in unified opposition to this regressive redistribution of wealth from the middle class to the wealthy, Connecticut GOP candidates have been utterly silent, other than Tim Herbst, who supports the legislation.
